Sometimes when we generate bases, the AI just puts hair on random parts of the outfit. We thought this was funny enough to fix the face/eyes and use as fanart, and Verhalen wrote a fic inspired by it.

DP: So this started because the AI program I'm using for funsies will not cooperate with making Anthony's faceclaim and keeps generating what I can only describe as "serial killer hobbits".

SV: New crack headcanon: the Tooks are somehow descended from Arafinwë. That’s why they’re more adventurous than other hobbits, and why Bandobras Took was the tallest hobbit. 🤣🤣🤣

DP note: This is specific to the universe Corn of Eternity, where the squad ends up living on a farm in Indiana for complicated reasons. In my fic Save A Horse, Ride A Cowboy Sören buys Anthony a cowboy hat as a joke. At different points in the verse they acquire farm animals such as a goat named Goatafinwë, a llama named Llamafinwë, and some cats (Anthony is pictured with Miss Balls, who appears in other verses, like Learning To Fly).

DP note: Dukes of Hazzard was part of my 1980s childhood, and a couple years ago I had a dream about a TV show called Finwions of Hazzard where the brothers were driving around recklessly and being a thorn in the side of Sheriff Manwë and Fëanor actually yelled YEE HAW out the car window. When I told SV about this she lol'd, and eventually, many months later, I found this in my inbox.

(That's still not the strangest Silmarillion crossover dream I've had.)

PS: they have the Star of Fëanor on the roof of the car (which is named the General Fin). Fuck the Confederate flag. 🖕🖕🖕
