Náriel, Arafinwë and Coronissë the cat. SemperViridis, September 2021.

DP note: In the Two Fires and Corn of Eternity verses*, Náriel is the twin sister of Fëanor. In the Corn continuity, Náriel has been separated from the family but returns and meets her brother Arafinwë while he is still young, and wins his favor with the gift of cake. I imagine this scene as a party being held for Náriel some time later and not only is there a cake, but Arafinwë gives her one of his (many) cats, Coronissë. Across the modern-day portion of the multiverse, Coronissë is returned to the family as (reincarnated Finarfin) Anthony's cat Miss Balls**.

*And probably some as-yet-unwritten universes.

**Coronissë means "ball-woman" in Quenya.
